Dr. Heath N. Landress is a human services consultant, researcher, educator, and U.S. Navy veteran with more than two decades of leadership, program management, workforce development, and organizational experience. He earned both a Doctor of Human Services and a PhD in Human Services from Walden University.

As Founder and Principal Consultant of HL Human Services Consulting LLC, Dr. Landress provides human services consulting, professional training, behavioral threat management, violence-prevention consulting, program evaluation, and organizational improvement services. His work is designed to help nonprofits, residential programs, government organizations, and community-serving institutions strengthen operations, develop effective staff systems, improve quality, and make more informed decisions.

His research focuses on the intersection of online extremism, youth exploitation, digital grooming, platform safety, and emerging forms of online risk. He is the originator of the Aesthetic-to-Risk Framework of Nihilistic Violence Aesthetics (ART-NVA) and the Youth Online Exploitation–Extremism Interface (YOEEI). His broader applied research interests include child protection, prevention science, digital risk assessment, youth-facing media literacy, and trust-and-safety practice.

Following 23 years of service in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Landress brings a practitioner-oriented perspective to organizational consulting and training. His approach combines research, operational experience, structured assessment, and practical implementation to help organizations move from complex problems to clear, actionable strategies.
